Eduardo Jáuregui

Eduardo Jáuregui is a Professor of Positive Psychology at the Department of Business and Social Sciences of Saint Louis University (Madrid Campus) and a Doctor in Social and Political Sciences, with a doctoral thesis on the topic of laughter and humour.

Born in Oxford, and with dual British/Spanish nationality, he was raised in English-speaking countries for most of early life, carrying out his university studies at the London School of Economics (B.Sc.) and Oxford University (M.St.), as well as working at the London offices of e-commerce consultancy Scient.

In 2004 he founded the training consultancy Humor Positivo/Serious Fun (www.humorpositivo.com/www.seriousfuntraining.com), specialized in the application of humour, fun and play at work, with clients such as IKEA, Daimler, Olympus, ING, La Caixa, and Repsol. He has given training sessions and speeches on this topic to thousands of managers and professionals from all industries, throughout Europe and the United States.

Eduardo has published several books, including El Sentido del Humor: Manual de Instrucciones (RBA Libros, 2007), Alta diversión: los beneficios del humor en el trabajo (Alienta, 2008), Amor y Humor (RBA Libros, 2009), Juicio a los Humanos (RBA, 2006), and Conversaciones con mi Gata (Ediciones B, 2013), as well as over 80 articles in newspapers, magazines and academic journals, and the script for films including Black or White, a short film which received the Spanish Academy Award (Goya) for Best Short Film in 1991.

All of the leading spanish media outlets have interviewed Eduardo Jáuregui, including Andreu Buenafuente's late night show, the TV newscasts of TVE, Tele 5, Antena3, and La Sexta; the newspapers El País, El Mundo, ABC and La Vanguardia (on its prestigious back page); and the most popular radio programmes on Cadena Ser, Radio Nacional, La Cope, Onda Cero and Punto Radio. He has also been featured outside of Spain on the BBC, Süddeutsche Zeitung, and other news media.
 

His novel Conversations with my Cat will be published in four languages.
